How Does Private Ear Syringing Work?

Private ear syringing is a simple and effective procedure that involves using warm water to flush out excess ear wax, dirt and debris from the ear canal. At Ears Care, we use state-of-the-art equipment and technology to perform private ear syringing both safely and comfortably. So how does the procedure work?

1. Our team of specialists will carefully assess your ears and recommend the best course of treatment for your specific needs.

2. During the private ear syringing procedure, you’ll lie on your side with your head supported on a pillow.

3. Our specialist will then use a small, handheld device to gently flush warm water into your ear canal.

Ear Wax Removal

4. The water helps to soften and loosen any ear wax or debris, which will then be removed with a gentle suction device.

The procedure itself is quick and painless. After the appointment, most patients experience immediate relief from their ear problems.

Please note that some patients may require multiple sessions to fully remove all of the earwax or debris.

Appointment Process

Here’s how to prepare for your ear syringing appointment:

1. Get in Touch

Call or book in a quick consultation with our managing director who will ask you a few questions to determine whether you need an appointment.

2. Confirm  Appointment

Together, we can choose a time and location that suits you for the appointment.

3. Prepare

At Ears Care, we recommend using medical olive oil drops or spray in the affected ears one to two days before your appointment. This will help soften the wax before removal.

4. The Procedure

You will be given a two-hour time slot for your appointment in the comfort of your own home.

About Ear Wax Build-Up

Also known as cerumen, ear wax is your body’s natural defence against issues such as dust and bacteria.

The wax prevents dirt from entering the ears and causing problems. Normally, earwax falls out by itself but sometimes, wax can build up and become trapped, blocking the ear canal.

Symptoms

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it may be a sign of ear wax buildup:

  • Tinnitus (ringing or buzzing sound that comes from inside your ear. Usually, it is high-pitched and continuous)
  • A feeling of fullness in the ear, as if something is stuck inside it.
  • Dizziness and vertigo
  • Itchiness
  • Ear pain
  • Coughing
  • Ear infections

The best thing to do if you are experiencing any of these symptoms is to get the ear wax removed as it will alleviate your symptoms and restore your hearing.

Private Ear Syringing FAQs

Private ear syringing is important because it helps prevent and treat a variety of ear problems, including hearing loss, tinnitus and infections. When excess ear wax builds up in the ear canal, it can block sound waves from reaching the inner ear, leading to hearing loss and other issues.

On top of this, it can also trap bacteria and other debris, which can cause infections and other complications. By getting regular private ear syringing, you can help maintain optimal ear health and prevent further problems from occurring.

Some of the benefits of our private ear wax removal service include:
